Plan to attend the Godwit Days Spring Migration Bird Festival and celebrate the Marbled Godwit and the birds of California’s Redwood Coast. Godwit Days participants can view a wide variety of bird and other wildlife species during a variety of of field trips. There also are lectures, workshops, and boat excursions — all led by experienced local birding guides.

The Godwit Days Bird Festival owes its success to the area’s expansive mudflats, river valleys and the Pacific Coast of the Klamath bioregion in northwest California. It’s a great birding destination.

The activities of the Godwit Days Spring Migration Bird Festival will be centered at the Arcata, California, Community Center. The attractions include displays of live birds of prey by the Humbolt Wildlife Care Center, vendor booths, and an art gallery that is part of the festival’s art show. There will be a silent auction, a Godwit Cafe, and children’s art and writing contest display.
